Are you kidding me?

I truly think I am the heroine in G-d's comic book.  I sometimes have the worst luck! I can't believe  the Throggs Neck Bridge decided to catch on fire, the day I finally move out!

I didn't use movers.  I should have!  It took me the entire weekend to move my shit into my apartment considering I was dealing with bumper to bumper traffic from Manhattan to my parents place in Roslyn Heights.   I should have just spent the $700 and saved myself a trip to a psychotherapist

After I was given the keys, I walked into the apartment and noticed the landlord did not even bother to clean this place up.  I should have called the CDC to get this place quarantined, but than I would be left without an apartment, yet again.  It took me 2.5 days to clean this place up.  I only commenced the unpacking yesterday.   I guess I could have called the landlord and complained.  I didn't want to start off on the wrong foot though, who knows what issues I might have later.

I can't stop thinking about the fucking traffic!  It took 9 hours for me to get from my parents place on LI into Manhattan.  9 fucking hours!!!!!  Did I mention this was only my first trip in with my shit.  We should have used my parents SUV, instead we used my car, a non-SUV filled with my pharma shit!

I should not have taken the day off.  I should have just packed my vehicle, went to work for the day and unpacked after work.  Had I known it would take me ALL day just to do 1 run in, I would have done this.  I can't believe I wasted a day off on this! DAMNIT!!!

I was so frustrated and so upset, I actually heavily cursed my mother. Blaming her for not having gotten movers. My father and I said it would be a good idea, but she insisted that I save the money and do it myself.  Once a Mexican woman makes a stand, she makes a stand.  There is NO arguing with my mother!  But seriously, my time is money.  I would have much rather spent the $700, than make several trips, in traffic ,whereby wasting my entire weekend.

All in all though, I LOVE this apartment. I cannot wait for everything to be just perfect and I am settled.

P.S.  I thought my shower was backed up.  I stayed at my parents place all weekend instead of my apartment.  The plumber guy just came.  Looks like I had the stopper on.   Ooopppsss!!!!!  Can we say, exhausted???

New Yorkers and the Rain

Perhaps I'm jaded from having lived in London for years however, can someone please tell me why New Yorkers act as if they were the Wicked Witches of the West whom are about to or in the process of melting as each droplet of rain falls upon them.

GET OVER IT NEW YORK!!!! The rain is not acid!!! You’re NOT going to DIE! So quit pushing me out of the way as I brisk fully walk on the sidewalk. On second thought, for now on I am walking with my elbows. You know what I'm talking about. When you walk with your elbows sticking out at the sides holding your arms as hard as you can, wishing --Nay, Daring -- people to come try to bump you. I'll show them!!!

And honestly, as soon as 1 drizzle of rain tinkers the ground, traffic becomes standstill. As if traffic in New York wasn't bad enough, people think it's okay to suddenly slow down to a cool 5 miles per hour when it rains. It's NOT sleet, hail, or snow people. Speed it up a little bit!!!!

Girl's get over your hair! It looks too done up anyway. What I would worry about more is the black tear lines of mascara running down your cheeks; makes you look like those sad clowns or a harlot from Coney Island who just got off her last job. At least wear waterproof mascara or a waterproofer to apply over your regular mascara.

And when the hell did dudes start acting worse than chicks. Though I am talking about the suits in the rain, but in general guys have become such ladies.  These are the guys that start running in the streets with a newspaper over their head.  A newspaper?  Really?  You do realize this is just paper right?  I do not believe umbrella's or rain boots are made from paper.

Additionally, I believe,  a law for hight restrictions for umbrella users should be passed.  I for one NEVER use an umbrella. I am FAR too short and risk the endangerment of eyeballs and chests of those behind me. Petite people should NOT be allowed to use umbrella's. I am so tired of my eyeballs getting poked out by an even shorter individual.
